This “small trek” in the Annapurna region   is very popular, because it is quite easy and offers a magnificent view of the Annapurna range and the Daulaghiri, snowy peaks, but also allows you to hike through the terraced crops, and crosses traditional villages typical of this region.

This trek can be done, according to your desire, in lodges accommodation or camping.

Trip Itinerary

  • 1 st day: Kathmandu to Pokhara bus (about 8 hours) or plane (35 minutes) (1320m.). Walk on the Lake Side and overnight in Pokhara.

  • 2 th  day: Drive to Nayapul (2h). Beginning of the trek to Hille or Tikhedunga (1300m) – (about 4h30).

  • 3 th day: From Hile or Tikhedunga to Ghorepani (2855m) – (about 6:30 am).

  • 4 th day: DOT morning departure for the ascent of Poonhill (3200m) (approximately 45 minutes) to watch the sunrise and the view of the Annapurna range and Dhaulagiri. From Poonhill to Tadapani (2700m) – (about 6h).

  • 5 th day: From Tadapani to Ghandruk (1950m) – (about 3 hours). Visit to the small Ghandruk museum dedicated to the Gurung ethnic group

  • 6th day: From Ghandruk to Pothana (1800m) – (about 7h).

  • 7th day: From Pothana to Dhampus Phedi (1100m) – (about 3h). Bus to Pokhara (45 minutes).

  • Day 8: Return to Kathmandu, by bus or plane.
